Water has been the main element of life of many civilizations and the most important factor in the creation and survival of human societies throughout history, and its scarcity always causes many problems for humans. It is estimated that by 2025, about half of the world's population will be in a severe water shortage crisis, and Iran is one of the driest and most semi-arid countries in the world due to lack of rainfall and inadequate temporal and spatial distribution. On the other hand, due to the increase in population and the growth of urbanization and industry, water demand is increasing and this country is facing a water crisis, which can be the source of irreparable security and social consequences in society. Khorasan Razavi province has suffered from drought in terms of rainfall. On the other hand, digging deep wells and rinsing them by means of high pressure pumps from underground aquifers has plunged Khorasan Razavi province into a water crisis. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method; For data collection method quantitatively and with the proposed models such as Falcon Mark Index, UN Index, as well as groundwater reservoirs, provincial dams and monitoring of precipitation and evapotranspiration index (SPEI) which provides meteorological drought. Give; A questionnaire was used to examine and identify the social and security consequences of this phenomenon. The results show that Khorasan Razavi province is not in a good situation in terms of water and according to international indicators is in a situation of water crisis that can have negative security and social consequences for the province.
